- Log into cPanel
- Go to Emails section > click on Apche SpamAssassin
Enable Apache SpamAssassin
- On the Apache SpamAssassin page, click on Enable Apache SpamAssassin
- To enbale auto-deletion spam emails, you have to select the spam score and click on Auto-Delete Spam
If you want to disable the auto-deletion spam, you have to click on Disable Auto-Delete Spam
Configure Apache SpamAssassin
- After enabled Apache SpamAssassin, you need to configure message scoring parameters, whitelist (trusted sender) and blacklist (known spammers)
- On the Apache SpamAssassin page , Click on Configure Apache SpamAssassin
- In the required_score text box, enter the number of hits required until a email is marked as spam
- In the score text box, you can assign scores to specific tests that SpamAssassin uses to examine incoming emails.
Note:
score should be replaced with a number, All the incoming mails which are scored with this number and higher ones, will be marked as spam
0 - It means that every incoming emails will be marked as spam
5 - Default score, works well for typical users
- In the blacklist_form text box, you can specify email address that are known spammers
- In the whitelist_from text box, you can specify email address that are trusted senders
- Once you have added the configuration, click on save
