SmarterStats is a complete Web log analytics tool that provides relevant, accurate, and detailed statistics for one or more websites across a distributed network.
- Login to RDP
- Browse the download link: http://smartertools.com/smarterstats/web-analytics-seo-software-download.aspx
- Click on Primary link shown in front of latest SmarterStats version (i.e. 8.x (8.4.5017)).
- Save SmarterStats8_setup.exe file and run the setup.
- Click on Next and proceed with installation.
- After installation it will open below mentioned URL:
http://localhost:9999/GettingStarted.htm
- Click on Begin Setup Button.
- Enter Key, provided via registered email address.
- Reset the password.
- Next, window will ask for SmarterLogs Path and Time Zone. Set it and proceed by pressing Next.
- Next screen will show the SMTP settings, this SMTP settings are used to send email reports and administrator notifications. Fill the necessary details and press next.
- SmarterStats Installed, It will works on port 9999
Kindly allow it in your VPS Firewall. If it is blocked in the VPS Firewall, SmarterStats will not work outside the VPS.
